These NPCs are at the entrance of the library, down the stairs, and below the landing which is at the bottom of the stairs. Look for the spinning orbs that they guard which looks like the frame of a d20, metallic with a white-gold glow and the guardians spawn relatively well so keeping up a good pace was easy.

As an engineer, you can loot these NPCs twice: once for regular loot, and the other for salvaging you will see the loot bag, then the mining pick.

If anything, its a decent gold and miscellaneous engineering item grind. I made roughly G the time I was there considering loot, trash, and repair bill so it might have potential for serious cash while grinding for Jeeves. I was lucky to have seen this schematic drop as fast as it did, hopefully you will have the same luck!

As a feral Bear, I was able to round up of these at a time and the grinding went real fast. I ran around using faerie fire to pull distant mobs while running into ones in a relative path. While doing this, I occasionally used the swipe ability, hitting all targets near me so that they did not reset.

Its best to not spam Maul while you Regenerate so that you get the full benefit of the regeneration. Good luck! Comment by Got it after less than 10 minutes farming in Borean. In order to make Jeeves, you also need to make various bots, one which is a quest that you can't accept until level 77 Scrapbot.

Comment by I got the recipe within an hour of farming the Library Guardians. Boring, but very easy on my druid in bearform. The hardly hurt so I was able to kill around 13 Guardians at once. I think I killed around mobs in total before it dropped. Spawnrate was pretty fast so I never had to wait for them to show up. I was able to devide the whole section where the Guardians are found in 3 to 4 parts and continue farming in these parts without downtime. Remember to loot the mobs twice!

The mob actually dropped Legguards of brutalization and then when i go and "skin" it it dropped that, a level 70 robot, I feel my luck changing.

Comment by I just got this off a Borean Tundra level 71 mechanical, wasn't looking for it, just chanced upon it while passing thru the area I don't have a flying mount for Northrend. My engineering level was at the time. I didn't think much of it until I came here and found out how rare it is to get. I guess it all evens out in the end - whenever I do grind a pattern or something it takes forever normally. Best of luck, all. I spent about half an hour farming this schematic in the northern end of the Storm Peaks, killing all the librarians as has been advised in the previous comments. I had the entire place to myself for about thirty minutes, but no luck. A Blood Elf engineer happened to come to the spot and started killing the librarians too, but he left a corpse behind.

I ignored it for a few minutes than seeing that he hadn't claimed it, I took it for my own. Low and behold.. Jeeves was waiting for me. Comment by The reason that this is worth it is because it means you don't have to go back to the system hammering lag fest that is Dalaran when you want to use the bank. Also, if this seems expensive to make, remember that unlike a lot of other craftable items, Jeeves will still be useful after the next expansion hits.

Comment by This most certainly does drop from mechanical mobs of level 70 and higher. One week ago I ran Heroic Halls of Lightning and engineered a Titanium Vanguard my group had just killed and received this schematic. Finished making Jeeves less than 24 hours ago and already I'm loving every bit of him.

So are my guildies. So just keep that in mind if you are looking for this schematic and happen to be running HOL, or HOS, or an Ulduar raid for that matter.

Comment by I was running Heroic Halls of Stone 5-man and it randomly dropped from a Lightning Construct which I had to ask someone to loot the trash from a lot of people don't bother looting those for some reason. Loot everything! You never know when random trash mobs will turn into gold mines.

Comment by A quick note for those farming Jeeves for the gold: Once looting the schematic, rush to a vendor and sell it for the 12g. This will give you yet another opportunity to grab the schematic again, as having one in your inventory will not allow you to loot it off a salvagable mob.

I discovered this after finding a mob I had recently salvaged was not disappearing, with jeeves in inventory. When I sold the schematic to the vendor and ran back to the corpse, the corpse had loot and out came Jeeves again.

Guardians when "Skinned" drop various grey junk and a chance for Volatile Blasting triggers, 1 Froststeel Tube very rare drop , or Handful of Cobalt Bolts somewhat rare drop.

Comment by To help give everyone an added estimate, It took me 1 hour of farming this with library guardian while watching American Idol :D I'm not fully sure on how much i killed, but at the least 75 of them. It is not a total waste, because of the junk and money you get from the loot and then the engineering pick up, I made about 80 gold, which is not to shabby, I think I might go back just to farm the gold.

The recipe will keep on dropping as long as you don't learn it, however you cannot have more than 1 of this schematic in your inventory at a time. If you do have this recipe in your inventory and a 2nd one drops before you've had a chance to vendor, it will not show that it has dropped, but instead it will give you a repeatably "skinable" corpse that seemingly has no loot.

The corpse will remain there for 30 minutes, giving you time to vendor the schematic, after which time you will receive the schematic from looting the buggy corpse. Comment by Will just confirm that this plan drops from the mobs at Inventor's Library. I did two full pulls of the mobs there and it dropped in the second group. Took 10 minutes at most. The schematic dropped from the 11th mechanical mob. My Eng is only at the moment. I screamed with joy. Now I need to get the Scapbot Construction Kit. And 0 Jeeves schematics! We killed the library guardians up at the Terrace of the Makers in Storm Peaks for nearly 2 hours. Looting was set to free for all so I could loot them all then salvage them. I received the recipe on my th salvage! Well worth the grind! Jeeves is epic! Took me about four hours had to empty my inventory for greay items three times before it finally dropped.

Good luck and happy farming Took about 35 minutes, the interesting thing that I didn't see posted here before is that while "skinning" the corpses, there was another Ally in the area killing the Guardians just for Exp was 1 bar from 80 and once he killed one, I noticed "sparkles" on the body after he looted it.

I walked over and it was Jeeves! It was VERY obvious there was something up with the corpse that he killed. I cannot confirm if the corpse sparkles if you kill it. Non-twink, nons, might consider farming for Jeeves a bit early for XP and some engineering mats. In addition to kills' worth of non-gear vendor trash 31 stacks' worth I looted 11 gray gear pieces, 6 greens, 5 stacks of Cobalt Bolts, 4 stacks of Volatile Blasting Triggers and two Froststeel Tubes.

The fewer trips to the vendor you need, the more killing you can do. Don't give up. It does drop. Most people got the schematic in BC due to it being based on Consortium rep, but once they're made, they're BOE, so ask a friendly engineer to make you a couple stacks and you'll be set for a long time!

You do NOT need to be at engineering, though you have to be high enough to salvage the bots depending on which route you take - borean vs. You do NOT need to know any other bot schematics prior to salvaging this i. I was grinding away on an alt and realized I hadn't gotten that yet and that quest requires level 77, so can I get this made before level 77? Ive had easier farms before, but definitely had much harder ones too. I went there with the intention of getting the recipe as I was level 71 and way too low to efficiently grind the mobs outside the library in Storm Peaks. To my surprise the schematic dropped from my third kill. In comparison, on my first engineer it took around 65 kills of the library mobs in Storm Peaks before I got the schematic.

I'm fully aware that I was probably just very lucky to get it so quickly this time around, particularly from lower level mobs but it makes me wonder if perhaps the mob's level has little bearing on the schematic's droprate.

Might be worth bearing in mind if you've power-levelled your engineering in order to wear the goggles at 72 and want to get yourself an early Jeeves too. Comment by Skopey I can confirm that the best place to farm this recipe is near the Fizzcrank Airstrip, Borean Tundra. A lot of people have been saying that they have spent hours farming in Storm peaks and have looted it after hours. It took me and my friend around 20 minutes to loot one of these each in the pools surrounding the airstrip.

Any level 80 can pull easily at a time, drastically reducing the time it will take to loot the Schematic. Now just to farm the materials! Got a few nice engi parts along the way as others have mentioned, but focus on the Fizzcrank Mechagnomes and Sentry-bot K's Other mechs in that area drop mostly junk. Comment by Went off to farm the schematic off the Library Guardian with skills of engineering. After "skinning" five or six Library Guardian it dropped. So, like someone stated earlier, you do not need skills of engineering for this schematic to drop. Don't know if I was lucky on the drop chance, but my brother also didn't farmed it longer then 5 or 10 minutes. Just make sure you actually "skin" the mobs, i know someone who actually thought it just dropped without skinning them and spend a couple of hours killing the mobs without "skinning" them.

Comment by For anyone who enjoys the pain and suffering of leveing a profession more than once on the same toon, I have some good news! Months ago, my DK was my main, and a engi. Recently I reitred him and chaged his professions to better suit my guild.

After getting 2 more toons to level 80, I decided to pull my DK out or retirement and after careful consideration, I decided to, yet again, level engineering. After grinding the Library Guardians for 3 days straight, I began to wonder if Bilzzard, in their infinite wisdom, restricted the drop for the Schematic: Jeeves to only once per character. The good news is this: after 3 hours on the 4th day of farming, it finally dropped for me again. If you are a mount collecter, please make sure you leave the engi only mounts for last, as engi is probably the most expensive to level, and not very profitable when only selling the items you make while leveling it.

But I can confirm that they do drop from them still. Drop chance is just very random! It was worth it though. He is pretty darn cool! Oh Yea, It still costs a pretty penny ergo gold in mats putting him together but an engineer in my realm was nice enough to fabricate for free the items necessary when I provided the mats.

Finding the schematics for the Field Repair Bot G and the Jeeves itself didn't take long for me at all though times will be different for everyone , and the most time consuming part was farming the Primal Fires, Khorium, and Titanium.

Each one requires a Khorium Power Core. Each core requires a Khorium bar. Each bar requires 2 Khorium ores. So ten G bots will require 20 Khorium ores. Comment by Gatekus Amazing guide! Missing one thing though, if you have a friend who has got a Jeeves and the schematics for the repairs bot for it, you can skip the schematics except the Jeeves one as he can simply craft it for you as the repair bots are BOE.

Just recently levelled a toons engineering to max, and then realized that I didn't have jeeves. Went and found the schematic for Sky Golem Left me wondering 'what the helll? The blackrock part is the most painful part. Getting the drop in Outland was easy as well. Dropped off of my 8th kill. Getting the schematic for Jeeves itself was also beautifully quick.

Unless my math is wrong, 24 Titanium bars would require Saronite Bar s which would require Saronite Ore. The guide indicates bars. Comment by Sarthorius If you want to drop Jeeves schematics faster, head to the mechanicals near the Library in the Storm Peaks, kill, loot and, by the Gods, 'Skin' them after that. I got mine that way in 6 toons within 10 fast kills, or less.

Just did this on my level88 Blood Elf Paladin with Engineering The wowhead page you provided gives you a comprehensive list of mobs that drop this, so I am not going to repeat it here. As it is bound on pickup, you won't find it in the AH.

It's an engineering only item The page clearly shows a list of mechanical NPCs that this schematic can be salvaged from as well a list that can drop the schematic.

And since it's BoP, you will just have to farm for it.
