Can you gain innocence

Innocence means purity of the inner space, not being affected by thoughts, our engraved memories. Even if you are not expressing your emotions like anger, greed and lust, if they are present in your inner space, you are not as yet a total and innocent person.

Not just to feel desire and passion again, but also to make peace with ourselves and the things that made us who we are. Awe is an emotional response that transcends our current frames of reference.

In other words, awe is the way we experience wonder and amazement. This response can be triggered by many different things. These moments are labeled as awesome, which has become quite a tired word recently. We label almost everything as awesome, but it used to be used only to point out things that were truly grand and that caused awe.

The constant hour news cycle and endless bombardment of bad news have led many to suffer from information overload and a sense of hopelessness in the world in which we live. This feeling snaps you right out of a funk. Experiencing it, no matter the reason, will trigger something deep within you that you know is true.

Allowing yourself to experience awe and wonder again will make you more caring, empathetic, generous, and more connected to the world around you, which is key to becoming open again. This feeling allows you to love more, or at least to be open to the possibility of love.

Awe makes us innocent again. So, if you want to regain your innocence, you must look for ways to experience this feeling as much as you can. There are many different ways to do this, one of them is to get in touch with nature. Jesus came so we could be filled with His Spirit. Not only does He forgive our sins, He comes to live in us and give us victory over sin. After you have asked the Lord to forgive you of your all bad thoughts and deeds, ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit.

You will know when He has because a language you do not understand will flow from your mouth. Joy, peace, and love will fill your heart as His purity takes over. You can read about the first time this happened in Acts First, I think you would do best to connect with someone in your local area who can provide accountability and good teaching.

By good church, I mean one where the Spirit of the Lord moves and sets people free from sin. If you have not yet received His Spirit, do that right away! Also, you probably know what was going on around you when you fell into sin again.

Stay away from those influences as much add possible. Sometimes that is easy like staying out of the nightclub; other times it might mean getting rid of certain things like a DVD collection or shutting off the internet.

Yes, the Lord forgives, but we still will face the consequences of our sins. His Spirit will give you freedom from the bondage of sin. After that, you submit your desires to His desires. Praise God! Just as it defeats the purpose to study for a test AFTER you take it, so prayer needs to be before we face temptation. Either way, keep praying and seeking Him. After you have wholeheartedly confessed your sins to the Lord, you must accept by faith what He sees in you. Living in sin will continue to drag you down. He sees you as better than that innocent girl in the picture. He sees you with His own perfection. You have to accept that new identity and stop seeing yourself according to your past sins. Your new identity begins when you accept His name in water baptism and are filled with the Holy Spirit.

When a child is strongly discouraged from revealing what it thinks and feels, it learns to dissemble and its innocence is destroyed.

In hiding the truth from others for a prolonged period, they end up hiding it from themselves. The result is a person who, in stark contrast to a child that has retained its innocence, is rarely comfortable being true and open with anyone. Even if it does, the satisfaction is temporary and more acclaim is soon sought.
